Gratitude turns what we have into enough.”
- Aesop

Hey Everyone! Happy Spring! 🌷

I can’t believe it’s taken me over three years to create a program centered on gratitude. Truthfully, I think I’ve avoided it because it can feel cheesy, and over-simplified. I know I’ve certainly had moments where I’ve felt resistant to practicing and even talking about gratitude publicly. But, the research is clear: gratitude is linked to meaningful shifts in both our mental and physical well-being. So this month, I’m inviting you to approach this practice with an open mind and a little curiosity. Let’s see what happens when we gently make space for gratitude, not as a forced mindset, but as a pathway to something new.

Positive Practice

Gratitude Letter

Choose someone in your life who has been helpful and kind to you, yet you haven’t had an opportunity to express your gratitude. This person can be a family member, a friend, teacher or coach. It can be anyone who has made a positive impact on your life but has never (or rarely) heard you express your gratitude. Take a moment to think about the things that this person has done that make you extremely grateful.

How to write a Gratitude Letter

  • Address the letter specifically to the person (e.g. “Dear...”).

  • It’s ok if the grammar and/or spelling are not perfect.

  • Address the person by name throughout the letter.

  • Describe specific things that this person has done that made you grateful.

  • Let them know how their actions and behavior have impacted your life.

  • If possible, deliver the letter personally.
