Release and Recover is a 2 hour practice that combines both vinyasa flow yoga and myofascial release. In this class, we will get our blood moving through a gentle vinyasa flow and then, spend the second half of the class exploring myofasical release techniques. Myofascial release uses tennis balls to roll through sore and congested muscles and is meant to help relax contracted muscles, improve blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulate the stretch reflex in our muscles. Myofascial release is a necessary piece of muscle recovery after strenuous exercise.
